European alternatives to Stripe Billing
Compare a Stripe Billing alternative against the billing layer you intend to replace. The public pay-as-you-go rate is 0.7% of Billing volume, not a card-processing rate or a price for every Stripe product.
Our illustrative calculation applies that rate to EUR 100,000 of Billing volume: EUR 700, before processing, taxes and other products. With EUR 90,000 of Billing volume plus EUR 10,000 of one-off invoices, the modelled Billing fee is EUR 630. Those one-off invoices may have separate Invoicing fees; the example does not make them free. The linked CSV records all three scenarios, including Billing volume processed outside Stripe.
Changing the payment processor alone does not remove the published Billing volume basis. Conversely, replacing billing logic does not require treating payment processing as the same product: Lago documents payment-provider integrations including Stripe. Reconcile the old subscription identifiers, renewal dates and retry rules before deciding which service will own the next invoice. No migration was run for this comparison.
