European alternatives to OneTrust
Choose a OneTrust alternative by the problem you need to solve. A website cookie banner, a privacy-document generator and an organisation-wide privacy programme are different purchases, even when vendors use similar compliance language.

OneTrust documents both consent management and broader privacy operations. Its consent product covers collection, preferences and consent records; its wider privacy offering addresses activities such as data mapping, assessments and rights-request workflows. A specialist website CMP should not be presented as a complete replacement for that broader scope.
For a website-focused shortlist, compare CookieFirst, Cookiebot, Usercentrics and iubenda using one realistic site configuration. Their commercial units differ: domains and subpages, sessions, pageviews, document features and plan limits can all change the total. Cookiebot belongs to the Usercentrics product family, so those options do not represent two independent supplier groups.
For storage and international processing, request the selected productβs contractual terms and processor list. CookieFirst, for example, documents European infrastructure alongside some US supporting processors. A company address or a European hosting label does not resolve every data flow. We do not infer OneTrustβs default hosting region or implementation time from its country of origin.
Check the scope before replacing OneTrust
A website CMP and a broader privacy operations platform solve different parts of the problem.

|---|---|---|---|
| Consent versus privacy operations | OneTrust documents consent management and broader privacy operations. A cookie banner alone does not replace data inventories or rights-request workflows. | Provider documentation |

| Comparable costs | Compare domains, subpages, sessions, pageviews and included document features for the same site configuration. | Provider documentation |
|
| Hosting and transfers | CookieFirst describes EU infrastructure and some US supporting processors. Country of origin alone does not establish where every processing step occurs. | Review storage and processors |

Our honest take
Use the linked specialist profiles when website consent is the actual requirement: CookieFirst for its tiered feature model, Cookiebot for a domain-and-subpage comparison, Usercentrics for selecting the right channel-specific CMP, and iubenda when document generation belongs in the same purchase. If the requirement also includes data inventories, risk assessments or rights-request automation, evaluate that broader scope separately. Keep OneTrust in the comparison when the documented end-to-end workflow is needed; a narrower product is not an equivalent replacement simply because it has a lower entry price.
