Which cookie consent tool fits your website?
Start with your website: domains, traffic, languages and whether you also need privacy documents. This guide helps you build a shortlist from four products already covered in our directory.

This selection primarily covers website consent. It is not a complete market survey or a comparison of full data-mapping and privacy-case platforms. Cookiebot and Usercentrics belong to the same product family and should not count as two independent supplier groups.
Which workflow do you need?
One website and a defined budget
Compare CookieFirst and Cookiebot against your actual domains, URLs and traffic. Check which plan includes the scanning, languages and history you need.
Documents and consent in one purchase
Include iubenda when creating and maintaining privacy documents is part of the requirement. Specify documents, languages and responsibility for updates.
Several websites or additional channels
Evaluate Usercentrics using the relevant session volume and channel. Distinguish a website CMP from products for apps and other environments before comparing costs.
Compare features, pricing and deployment
Products appear alphabetically. Their position is not a ranking. On smaller screens, scroll the table sideways.
| Product | Good fit when | Pricing basis | Deployment and data | Check before choosing |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Cookiebot [3] | Websites where domain and URL counts are easier to budget than traffic. | Premium Lite: EUR 7/month for one small domain. Other tiers depend on domains and subpages. | Hosted CMP in the Usercentrics product family. Request its current DPA and processors. | Lite covers one domain. Small requires at least four domains; a small site does not automatically qualify for Small pricing. |
CookieFirst [1][2] | A dedicated website banner with scanning and languages; examine Plus when consent history matters. | Basic: EUR 9/month. Plus: EUR 19/month, per domain. Annual billing and traffic limits have separate terms. | The provider documents EU storage for visitor consents and separate support services using US subprocessors. | Free includes one language and one third-party script. Consent-log features differ between Basic and Plus. |
iubenda [4] | Businesses buying privacy documents and website consent together. | Packages per website with pageview allowances. Check region, billing period, excess traffic and included documents. | A cloud service with several products. Establish processing terms for the document and consent services in your contract. | A package price is not an unlimited website licence. Include feature limits and excess usage in the comparison. |
Usercentrics [5] | Websites where session volume, multiple domains and channel requirements drive the purchase. | Web CMP Essential: EUR 7/month for 1,500 sessions and one domain. Business: EUR 50/month for 50,000 sessions and up to ten domains. | First select the web, app or other CMP product. Check that product’s DPA and subprocessors. | Sessions and pageviews are different units. Do not budget an app or CTV requirement as a standard website package. |
Cost example: one website with 200 subpages
Cookiebot’s FAQ requires at least four domains for Small. With one to three domains, a 200-subpage website falls under Medium: EUR 30 per domain per month in the checked price list. CookieFirst, iubenda and Usercentrics also need comparison against their respective feature and traffic terms. Subpage counts alone are not a common pricing basis.
[3]Price the same website configuration
Record domains and subdomains, public URL counts, monthly pageviews and sessions, languages and publishing platform. Ask each provider to quote that configuration. An entry plan missing your traffic allowance or history requirement is not a fair cost comparison.
[1][3][4][5]Check location for each processing activity
Separate consent storage, banner delivery, support and integrations. CookieFirst documents EU consent storage alongside separate US support providers. This pricing comparison does not establish the entire data map for the other products. Request the current product agreement and processor list for the package you are evaluating.
[2]Rehearse the switch before going live
Inventory your current tags and settings. Test the next banner in staging with a fresh visit, acceptance, refusal and a changed choice. Check which integrations start and what you can actually export from the previous service. Assign responsibility and prepare a rollback before changing production.
When the requirement is larger than a banner
If you also need processing inventories, risk assessments or rights-request workflows, evaluate those capabilities separately. Use our OneTrust comparison to distinguish website consent from broader privacy operations and avoid buying a narrower product than your workflow requires.
