European alternatives to Adobe Sign

An Acrobat Sign replacement needs to return the signed document, audit trail and correct status when signing is part of an integration. A PDF upload demonstration leaves those requirements open.

Adobe distinguishes AGREEMENT_ACTION_COMPLETED, a participant action, from AGREEMENT_WORKFLOW_COMPLETED for the full workflow. Archiving on the wrong event can therefore happen too early. Map the agreement state and the time when the final file is available separately.

Scrive documents callbacks carrying the document’s current state and warns that a status can be delivered more than once. An application moving from Adobe must therefore handle repeated notifications, not merely rename an event. Adobe’s API overview also distinguishes document retrieval and audit-trail download; keep both in the archive handoff.
